On Saturday an interesting online auction at Levis Art Auctions will be closing. Make sure you go to: http://www.levisonlineauctions.com/ and look at the art available – many great pieces and, so far, lots of bidding. Some great opportunities here, folks.
I have just two pieces available at Doug Levis’ online auction. The first is by West Coast Folk Artist Ted Harrison, who has long been a highly regarded artist whose work always brings lots of interest. This one – “Camp” depicts a first nations community bustling with activity. It is misleadingly simple in its presentation of a busy, active communitycomfortably gathered close to itself and surrounded by mountains. It is a lithograph 11.5×17 inches,  signed and dated 1983 with an added  “Best Wishes” . Unframed.

Ted Harrison ~ Camp

My second piece is by George Mendez Rae and is  a watercolour on paper 14.5 by 21.75, unsigned and unframed. It has a retro look to it depicting a lovely house set in the countryside with wooded hills in the distance. It is at the same time sophisticated, skilled and joyfully crowded with skaters enjoying the day – quintessentially Canadian, as is the Harrison piece!!

Take a moment to go and look at the listings – lots of lovely pieces, and some, including my listings are currently at a very good price.
