TWO ORIGINAL ALEX JANVIER at LEVIS CALGARY AUCTION CLOSING MAY 1

Alex Janvier - untitled - Springtime II - gouache on paper - 14.75x19.5

The next Levis Fine Art Auction in Calgary, which closes on May 1 is now posted online: http://www.levisauctions.com/ . I am pleased to tell you that I have consigned two striking abstract originals by Alex Janvier. These original works are gouache on paper, professionally framed and with archival mats – either one or both, you will be proud to hang in your home or office.

All the details necessary to get you bidding as an absentee bidder are on that page, and also details of where the Auction will be held are there for anyone who is in the Calgary area and thinking they might drop by to bid. When you are ready to go on to view the catalogue, click on the box in the menu across the top where it says “live auction” and you will be moved to the catalogue page.

Interest is expected to be intense – the catalogue is large and will interest a good cross section of bidders.

Janvier, who is known for his departure from a more traditional First Peoples subject matter into the realm of the abstract; is still living and working at his own gallery in Cold Lake, Alberta. He was born in 1934 and is the recipient of  recognition and many honours for his role as one of the founders of the Canadian First Nations art movement.

Make sure you get on over and have a look and get organized for bidding – this will be an exciting auction!

Until next week – so long from Mich – who has decided to cut the Spring Break short and will be blogging weekly with exciting news coming soon !!

AND………….. here is the second of my two Janvier originals!
